d. 우리 회사의 경우 종이 사이즈제로 사용되고 있다.

3.5. wax, polyethylene and other hydrocarbon emulsions → PEM-17, PW-40M

a. hydrocarbon oil이나 wax emulsion ;
→ size press나 calender water box application에 최근 이용
→ 표면 사이즈제와 특수한 윤활제로 이용

→ plasticizing과 fold 특성이 좋다.

→ base sheet 속으로 분산되기 때문에 antidusting이나 pick resistance는 좋지 않다.
b. polyethylene ; 광택성에 좋으나, antidusting은 soluble soap 보다도 좋지 않다.
c. hydrocarbon emulsion ; 점도에 영향이 거의 없어 leveling agent로는 좋지 않다.

3.6. fatty amine and amide (synthetic waxes)
a. 윤활제로서 코팅 표면에서 좋은 광택성을 갖는다.
b. insoluble soap 만큼의 antidusting을 갖지는 못한다.

3.7. Polyglycols and Polyglycol Ethers
a. 주요물질 ; polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, polyethylene glycol alcohol ether
b. 코팅에서 광택성은 좋지만, antidusting과 pick resistance에는 효과가 없다.

3.8. Blends of Various Lubricants
그밖에 다음과 같이 두가지 이상의 물질을 혼합하여 사용하기도 한다.

a. calcium stearate, polyethylene dispersion
b. calcium stearate, polyglycol dispersion
c. calcium stearate, fatty amide dispersion

d. calcium stearate, fatty ester, polyethylene dispersion

e. calcium stearate, wax dispersion
f. calcium stearate, sulfated oil dispersion
g. polyethylene, fatty ester dispersion
